Getting
Started with Microscope on a Stick
Plug MicroScope on a Stick into a USB
2.0 port that is on the computer (not an external hub)
and turn on the PC. The computer should recognize the
USB device and will boot straight from it.
If the system does not boot from the
USB drive, try the following: Detect whether there is
a boot menu during the boot up process by pressing ESC
or F12. If the boot menu displays, select the USB device
and press Enter. This will tell your computer to boot
from the USB device.
If the above does not work, set the
BIOS configuration by locating the boot menu or quick
boot and setting the boot priority to USBHDD as the
first device to boot from.
Another way you can get the computer
to boot from the USB 2.0 drive is using the BIOS configuration.
Under BIOS Configuration, locate the Plug N Play to
OS setting and select NO. This will allow the computer
to recognize the USB drive as a bootable device.
